Saltwater threatens freshwater fishing
05/06/2008 -

Anyone who's fished the coastal estuaries of Georgia and South Carolina knows that a rising sea level will dramatically alter these rich habitats. Salt water will push farther inland, and you don't have to be a marine biologist to understand what that will do to freshwater fishing in our low-lying lakes and streams. I don't know if we'll see changes in five years or in 20, but I do know we can't hold back the ocean.
